HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

A little video that seemed appropriate for this evening

Hofmann was also the first person to isolate, synthesize, and name the principal psychedelic mushroom compounds psilocybin and psilocin. Line Of Sight is a rare view into underground bicycle messenger racing which has become a global phenomenon. For over a decade Lucas Brunelle has been riding with the fastest, most skilled urban cyclists around the world while capturing all the action with his customized helmet cameras to bring you along for the ride. This is bike riding like you've never seen before, in gripping first-person perspective through the most hectic city streets, on expressways in Mexico City, over the frozen Charles River, under the Mediterranean Sea, across the Great Wall of China and deep into the jungles of Guatemala. Directed and Edited by Benny Zenga, Line of Sight is 60 minutes of the best Lucas Brunelle footage from a decade of Alleycat races around the world. "Lucas Brunelle goes for it. If you want to see what it's like to play a live game of 'frogger', on a bike, with only one life, check out Line Of Sight." -Mat Hoffman, Professional BMX Rider

Look what I saw while walking on the AVE.

I was walking down the Ave. today grumbling about all of the drunk college students that are cluttering up the streets downtown during homecoming weekend (UGH!) when I spotted this beautiful old beater out of the corner of my eye!

Look at those curves! It was a Huffman Dixie Flyer!

She was covered in pitted rust but the original paint could still be seen poking out in places. I feel stoked to have gotten to see one in person and so randomly!

I stopped so we could take these pictures and hoping that whoever owned this sweet beast would make themselves known, but no one stepped up.

I left a business card on the frame in desperate hopes that if the owner ever decided to part with this exquisite ride that I might have at least a slim chance of getting my hands on it!

Pedals and Paint!

Graffiti and Bicycles are two of my favorite things about this town, and I don't think that we have enough of either! When it comes to Bicycles, well that's my specialty, but when it comes to graffity I will leave it to local legends like Jet One and the A.C.T. crew here in B-town.

I ride out to the old rail yards on a regular basis to "the warehouse", a long time favorite spot for local street artist to display their skills. It is a smooth ride along the B-line these days and their is hardly a ghost of the old abandoned rail yard that once sat there just a few years ago. From my flat the ride out there takes me directly past the Bike Project 2, one of the local bike garage co-ops, and it is a super laid back ride along the paved asphalt trail. I blogged about some of these excursions on my personal blog page. I thought that it would be a good thing to reblog those post here as well. It seemed fitting.

BICYCLES AND GRAFFITI.

BICYCLES AND GRAFFITI AGAIN.

PEDALS AND PAINT.

I hope that you enjoy and always have easy ridin'!
