I was in grave need of parking spaces here at my downtown flat (a.k.a. WBW headquarters). I dumpstered a bunch of 2" x 4" lumber here awhile back and thought that I might be able to throw something together from that.
First I had to spend a couple of hours removing nails and screws from the lumber. And there were a lot of them! That was good though, because I reused almost all of them in the construction of my little project.
After some measuring and screwing and a bit of hammering it was starting to look like something useful.
I slapped a coat of paint, that was also found in the trash, and added a couple of industrial hooks that I had salvaged, and it was finished.
What I ended up with was a bicycle rack!
