BAMF bike!

Based in Boulder, Colorado in the U.S. of A. BAMF is Bad A**!
"BAMF stands for exactly what you think it does. BAMF doesn’t roll like those pretty boys with matching lycra kits and expensive power meters. If you ride a bike, and we mean really ride a bike, you know the cold burn on your face in the dead of winter, the sound of a body hitting the ground and the taste of a warm beer in the morning. You don’t ride so you can shave your legs and drive around town with a bike on the rack hoping to be seen…You hunt those types down and smirk as you rip past leaving them and their GPS and sunblock keychain wondering what the hell happened?
All the BAMF bikes are black (like the guys at BAMF are going to fight over color pallets) and come with minimal decal and a killer 4 color (gold, white, purple and blue)  sticker kit for you to create the look you want. Put the stickers on the bike, a cop car or your friend’s back. They take bikes seriously…like tattoos. They don’t want you to show up and see the exact same machine as some poser. BAMF wants you to make it your own. Bikes are a permanent fixture in their life and they pour that passion into their work. The Piledriver is a serious bike as you can tell from the name. It will turn your world upside-down."

That is from their website and I can tell you after riding this black beast that what they say is true when it comes to their bikes. This is one of the best built bikes out there!

"Who you are has everything to do with how you ride. That’s why BAMF bikes are made strictly for the hardest riders ever to sit on two wheels. We build them for the hairiest, gnarliest, most gut-wrenching treks through the untamed wild; just like you’re built for the grittiest dives, the roughest ink shops, and the blackest black metal shows your own personal concrete jungle has to offer. These are not your father’s bikes—not by a long shot.
We’re committed to the craft. Our bikes—the ones for the hills and the ones for the city-are made with no nonsense performance materials and the finest parts available. At BAMF we don’t fight over color pallets. Our bikes are available exclusively in black powder coat and they’re designed for you, and nobody else. Turn them into personal works of art by tagging —are made with no nonsense performance materials and the finest parts available. At BAMF we don’t fight over color pallets. Our bikes are available exclusively in black powder coat and they’re designed for yyour BAMF with our decal kits or leave them unmarked and watch onlookers shake in their boots as you roll past. No nonsense. No bullshit. You know the drill.
To match the quality, BAMF bikes undergo a tough-as-nails battery of quality control tests before they even hit the production line. Every bike is quality-assured and leaves our warehouse the way you demand it; ride easy knowing our mechanical staff is as hard on the setup details as you are on your tattoo artist’s precision."
It just so happens that we have one of these awesome bikes up for grabs here at WBW.

"The BAMF Piledriver is the world most bad ass steel urban commuter bike. Based on a fixed gear frame we beefed up the wheel clearance to allow for super fatty tires 40c on 700c wheels. This is not your hipster fixie. The Piledriver starts with our strong as Norris steel frame and add a front brake. There are no shifters or derailleurs adding needless weight and complexity, just you and the road (or singletrack if you truly embody BAMF). When the time comes to scrub a little big wheel speed the Promax/Bengal mechanical brakes will be at your middle finger (BAMF humor). The BAMF Urban saddle adds a nice touch of comfort even for the hardest of riders out there can appreciate. The BAMF crank with a 46t chainring and the 16t cog combination will have those big wheels turning."

The BAMF Frame

The BAMF’s foundation is solid steel creation with a 120mm track rear end, disc tab on the fork and 1-1/8” integrated headset. The frame has a 27.2 seat post diameter and a 68mm English threaded bottom bracket. The head tube is designed to accept IS-2 standard threadless 1-1/8” bearings.

The BAMF Fit

Sizing a fixie bike is no different, or more difficult, than any other style of bike. By reviewing the size chart you will see a measurement called the “Eff Top Tube”, also known as the Effective Top Tube Measurement. This is what the top tube would measure if it was parallel to the ground. It is an imaginary line the runs from the center of the head tube to the center of the seat tube if the seat tube was extended like a traditional frame. The size chart also lists suggested heights for the different frame sizes. This is far more helpful in sizing a bike than standing over the top tube and pulling up on the handlebars (which tells you nothing about the fit of a bike). BAMF offers six sizes to accommodate riders large and small. It will be easy to find a fit for all of our customers.

The stem can also be flipped and adjusted for a lower back-friendly position to a more streamline position in minutes. The lower top tube keeps the center of gravity low and the makes for an easy approach to getting on the bike. This BAMF bike was designed with the user’s needs and comfort as the #1 priority

These bikes start at $400.00+ from the manufacturer and as much as $700.00 retail, but here at Wingnut Bike Works you can pick this Piledriver up for $250.00!

Quick Flip!

A friend left this in my care but I just don't have the time or room to devote to it. So here is a great deal for some lucky cyclist out there. I am letting this one go dirt cheap!

T.R.E.A.M.ing again!

I was in grave need of parking spaces here at  my downtown flat (a.k.a. WBW headquarters). I dumpstered a bunch of 2" x 4" lumber here awhile back and thought that I might be able to throw something together from that.
First I had to spend a couple of hours removing nails and screws from the lumber. And there were a lot of them! That was good though, because I reused almost all of them in the construction of my little project.
After some measuring and screwing and a bit of hammering it was starting to look like something useful.
I slapped a coat of paint, that was also found in the trash, and added a couple of industrial hooks that I had salvaged, and it was finished.
What I ended up with was a bicycle rack!
